The Sun Doesn’t Set

Floods in Pakistan and Nigeria. The war in Ukraine. Missile threats over Japan. Corruption in Venezuela. We ache to do something about the headlines we see, don’t we? God’s image is imprinted on all of us and the best parts of us long to meet needs, heal the sick, confront evil, and comfort the broken because that’s what Jesus did. But how can we — oceans away — possibly meet such needs? How can I hand out supplies, negotiate with dictators, or enact real, lasting change? We have an onslaught of information about the world at our fingertips now, but for most of us, we feel that we can’t do anything about it.

Can I tell you something? If you are partnered with Haggai, you ARE doing something about it. You’re in Pakistan, Nigeria, Ukraine, Japan, and Venezuela. How? Through the amazing leaders of Haggai. When the sun sets today, there isn’t a time zone its rays will skim where a Haggai leader isn’t working to end Gospel poverty.

Wish you could distribute supplies to people in war zones? Haggai leaders are.

Are you sickened by the corrupt governments in African nations? Haggai leaders are parliament members, ambassadors, and even presidents of nations making a change from within.

Have a burden for orphans in India? Haggai leaders are providing rescue, protection, education, and food.

Are you troubled by Russia’s moral compass? Haggai leaders are on the ground pointing those compasses true north again.

Caleb in Nigeria. Maia in Ukraine. Yoshie in Japan. Elana in Russia. Other names I cannot give, in countries I cannot name as safety and security are critical. These men and women are Haggai leaders — there are more than 135,000 of them equipped since 1969 — reaching out to the people next door to them; influencing their governments; leading their nations; distributing resources to the vulnerable. Through national ministry, Haggai leaders are creating movements and raising leaders at astronomical rates. Your support empowers them to become equipped, and then to go out and triple their effectiveness in their nations.

The sun doesn’t go down on a place without a Haggai leader advancing the Gospel. They are in every time zone propelling the Gospel forward in their own tongues, nations, and contexts. So, do you wish you could do something? You already are.
