“I am exceedingly thankful to work with a God-led and forward-thinking team — including a global community of more than 125,000 leaders in 189 nations — who are fully committed to reaching the world for Christ and ending Gospel poverty.”

What is your role and what are your responsibilities at Haggai?

I serve as Chief International Operations Officer and lead Haggai’s ministry operations in the 189 countries we serve. I have the joy of working with 50+ team members globally across the Equipping and International Ministry Development Teams. In addition, I provide leadership support to ensure proper operational efficiencies, financial strength, and people systems are in place to effectively end Gospel poverty for the 2.2 billion people who have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. I also collaborate with Haggai CEO Dr. Bev Upton Williams on special initiatives to advance the ministry and expand our Lord’s Kingdom.

How does working at Haggai help you fulfill your personal life’s mission and or goals?

Haggai enables me to fulfill my personal life’s mission to obey Christ’s Great Commission: Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). The Lord called me to Haggai to contribute my leadership experience developed through work in nonprofit, ministry, and higher education settings.

I am a licensed attorney with experience in executive-level organizational development and leadership. Prior to joining Haggai in 2021, I served as the Chief Operations Officer for Teach Every Nation, a global Great Commission training ministry for pastors founded by international ministry leader Dr. Bruce Wilkinson. Previously, I served as a consultant to nonprofit and educational organizations and in leadership at the Georgia Family Council and the Center for Law, Health & Society at Georgia State University College of Law, a top nationally ranked policy organization.

What additional information would you like to share about yourself?

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and joining Haggai is literally a family affair as my family has a long-time relationship with Haggai’s founder, Dr. John Edmund Haggai. Dr. Haggai joined my grandfather, Col. Jack Fain, and Campus Crusade for Christ founder, Dr. Bill Bright, to marry my parents over 53 years ago! I have grown up in this ministry, as my father and mother, Jerry and Jackie Nims, remained close personal friends of John and Christine Haggai, and have always been very involved in Haggai International. I am so grateful to the Lord for my 15-year marriage to Brian Rooker, our joyful 10-year-old daughter, Avalee, and our spirited 7 lb. Morkie, Honey Lu!
