Caring Through Actions Shows God’s Love

“People are coming to the love of God when they see how much we love them and care for them,” declares Haggai leader *Dachen.

Isn’t that how God has called us Christians to live? In the book of First John, particularly in chapter 4, He makes it clear that “the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister” (verse 21 NAS).

As this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas approaches, how can we tangibly show God’s love to the others around us?

Dachen and his church can give us some pointers. He goes on, “Many people in my country in Asia cannot give their time to listen to the Gospel, as they work every day for food for that day. So, we contribute food, share God’s love, and invite them to our local church.

“And by God’s grace, we have brought 50 new people to church. Now we are teaching and equipping them to become true disciples of our Lord. My goal is to bring at least 500 souls to the Kingdom through our local church within the next 15 years. People are coming to His love when they see how much we love them and care for even their most mundane need.”

It is not an easy road that Dachen and his church travels down. Many around them are of a different Majority religion, and that is who Dachen and his church choose to focus on. He shares, “We approach them by helping meet their needs. We love them and want them to know the love and salvation of Jesus. Although there are many challenges in ministry, God is working in and with us for His glory.”

This humble man and his faith community also trains and equips at least 100 church planters across the country. Not one to stop there, “We are praying that we can equip more ministers across the country in the days to come so they can be better equipped to share God’s love and show how much He cares for them in order to help end Gospel party in our part of the world.”
