Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: VP of Marketing

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports the organization’s marketing efforts by contributing to a range of initiatives across multiple channels. This role plays an active part in content creation, including writing emails, social media posts, blog articles, and other marketing materials that align with brand voice and goals. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who understands how to craft messages for different audiences.

In addition to developing content, the Marketing Coordinator assists with basic reporting, maintains marketing assets, and provides operational support for campaigns and ongoing initiatives. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys writing, values collaboration, and is looking to build a broad foundation in marketing and communications.

Responsibilities

Reporting

    • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics to assess success.
    • Track and analyze web analytics, email performance, and social media engagement metrics.
    • Compile monthly and quarterly performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the team to set benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Maintain a central dashboard to visualize KPIs across marketing channels.

 Writing & Communications

    • Assist with creative writing tasks, including copy for emails, social media, and other campaigns as needed.
    • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables across teams.

Operations & Support

    • Support the maintenance and organization of internal tools and repositories.
    • Manage inventory, ordering, and distribution of branded merchandise and marketing collateral.
    • Maintain the team’s internal marketing resource repository.
    • Assist in segmenting, building, scheduling, and deploying email campaigns.
    • Collaborate on email copywriting and layout to ensure engaging and brand-consistent messaging.
    • Support content planning meetings by preparing calendar overviews and suggesting optimizations.
    • Track deadlines, content owners, and publishing dates across all channels (email, social, web, etc.).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a marketing role for a not-for-profit or charitable organization.
  • Project management experience, skilled in effectively coordinating multiple projects, scheduling, managing deadlines, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working with social media, including engagement with online communities, is an asset.
  • Understanding of Content Management Systems (WordPress), and analytical tools such as Google Analytics and email analytics
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, including list management, MS Word, MS Excel, is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred

Compensation and Conditions

  • Salary based. Commensurate with experience and productivity.

  • Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Remote, as applicable
  • Hours of work are officially from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday; however, the effort necessary to undertake your role effectively will dictate the real time required (include if applicable: important evening meetings and multi time zone work force, travel requirement %, etc.).
