A Calling From God Amidst War

Ukrainian Olga (Olya) Myronchuk feels the conflict of war in every aspect of her life. She explains, “I was looking forward to the Haggai Leader Experience (HLE). I love God, and I have a great passion for serving Him. But for the last year and a half, I have become very exhausted and tired because of the war in our country.”

But in September 2023, Olya did complete the HLE where she experienced a word from God that revived her call.

“I came away from the HLE feeling encouraged and inspired by my fellow Christians. God encouraged me during the morning devotions, and He spoke to me, especially during the lesson on Hagar. God told her to return home to the place where she no longer wanted to be. That was God’s word to me because at the beginning of the war, our family left our country because 70% of our city was destroyed, along with damage to our house. But despite all these circumstances, I did return to Ukraine to serve. God showed me that I had done the right thing, that He is with me, and that I am not to be afraid.”

Olga has been renewed at the HLE by hearing from ladies from all over the world and has seen God from a larger perspective. She now has a deeper passion to serve, evangelize, and reach others in her country with the Gospel. She sees her main purpose in training children’s ministers, so that souls of the next generation will be touched and will rebuild Ukraine into a strong Christian nation.
