Scott Halquist is Haggai International’s Director of Advancement, Great Lakes Region. Scott has more than 20 years’ experience in working with partners to pursue their passion to support not-for-profit organizations with financial resources. During his career, Scott has been involved in fund development efforts that have raised more than $70 million.

Prior to Haggai International, Scott held the position of Executive Director of the Holland Home Foundation for nearly a decade. Under Scott’s leadership, the Holland Home Foundation received the Excellence in Fundraising Award in 2016 from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Before joining Holland Home, Scott served in advancement at the Pine Rest Foundation and the Metro Health Hospital Foundation. Earlier in his career, Scott worked as a registered nurse at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services for 12 years.

Scott is engaged in serving his church, community, and profession. Scott currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife of over 30 years. They have twin sons who are both married and live in Michigan. Scott and his wife currently serve in a variety of roles in ministry at Cornerstone Church. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, and being a fan of Michigan State University Basketball and Notre Dame Football. Scott says, “I feel called to be part of the ministry of Haggai International. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the mission dedicated to ending Gospel poverty!”
