Everyday Evangelism: Answering the Call in South Asia

Since attending the Haggai Leader Experience (HLE) in 2016, Kamal has been actively equipping believers and reaching nonbelievers in South Asia.

Inspired by the models of teaching he encountered during his equipping experience, Kamal and a faithful friend developed a four-part module to train others in effective Gospel sharing. Together, they hosted these evangelism workshops in churches throughout the region, conducting 14 programs in total with 50 to 70 participants at each church. This bold act of faith has caused a ripple effect in the community, with almost 1,000 people being equipped to share the Gospel.

Kamal’s outreach doesn’t stop at the church door. “I share the Gospel with every driver I travel with,” he said. His approach is personal and direct, starting with his testimony and then the message of Jesus. “Many accept Jesus Christ as one of their lords,” he said. “But there is often resistance when I explain that He is the only Lord.”

Each year, Kamal and his family host a Christmas program for their friends of other faith traditions. In 2023, more than 100 people attended. “I invited all these families for Christmas lunch, shared my life testimony, and presented the Gospel,” he said. Among the attendees was the wife of a pilot, who chose to follow Christ. Since then, Kamal’s wife has been regularly ministering to her, offering spiritual guidance and prayer support.

At his workplace, Kamal uses simple but effective approaches to witness to colleagues. On the first day of each month, his team gathers for a time of singing, a short devotional, and prayer. After the group prayer, individual prayer is offered for those with specific needs. The team also celebrates every employee’s birthday with cake, music, and a brief word of testimony and prayer.

Additionally, Kamal ensures that copies of the Gideon Bible in regional languages are always available for anyone who wants one. “These are just some of the ways I share the Gospel with those in my circle of influence,” Kamal said. He is an example of how small acts of courage and faith can create big results in the lives of others.

From structured training sessions to spontaneous conversations, Kamal’s life reflects a deep and active commitment to spreading the hope of Christ.
