Redemption and Restoration

Each year, as the leaves turn, the flowers stop blooming, and the air chills, I experience the change of the season with a thankful heart and pause to reflect. In this season, we often look back with gratitude to see what God has accomplished and look forward to what He will do in us and through us in the next. Proverbs 16:3 comes to mind: “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.”

More than 55 years ago, Haggai International stepped into God’s story — His purposes and plans for the world He created. It is a story of redemption and reconciliation to Him and each other. Redemption, as we read in the Scriptures, is the restoration of God’s creational intent for humanity, culture, and the physical earth He created — in other words, our world made right.

Our Lord’s prayer affirms this purpose as he says, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven.” Through Haggai International, a community of believers across the globe unite for this purpose of redemption. They are men and women with unique influence who support each other to impact individuals, communities, and nations. Our collective vision, consistent across all these years, is “to see every nation redeemed and transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.” This is the work we commit to the Lord!

Who is this community? 1 Peter 2:9-10 answers the question. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God, once you had not received mercy, now you have received mercy.”

This community consists of you, our partners, our staff, Haggai leaders, our national ministries, and all to whom we demonstrate and present the gospel. Together, we are the mercy bearers — those blessed to be a blessing — to bring the Good News, the hope and love of Jesus, to all nations. The articles you will read on our blog and materials tell stories of redemption and restoration for individuals and families, from the Middle East to Latin America, Asia to Africa.

Your commitment to God’s purposes in the world is bringing redemption and transformation. Please join us in praying for Haggai leaders — those you’ll read about and many others — who are called to be blessings in their nations.

Bev, I pray every day for all Haggai leaders that God DNA (seed) will be made manifest in their daily lifestyles, raising true disciples of Jesus Christ, truly bearing God
mercy. Imagine all God’s disciples exhibiting God DNA in our daily lifestyles all over the world. What a tremendous impact this will be for us all and God. Half of the world’s problems would have been solved, positive impacting generations coming behind disciplining the younger ones. I wish am living in this kind of world now. And so shall it be in Jesus name, Amen.
