Flora Creek Resort in Chiang Mai is the ideal environment to surface insights and innovations from pioneering missional lay leaders. The venue has been selected because of its mix of built and natural spaces, to encourage reflection and connection with God’s creation and one another.
The gathering is a forum, not a conference. It will gather 100 pioneering lay missional leaders (from the marketplace, government, education and more) to surface insights and innovations in holistic witness from those serving in places of greatest spiritual and social need.
The forum’s content will be generated in dialogue as we probe personal and public witness to the Kingdom in all spheres of life. Expert presenters – in the areas of digital technology, migration, global youth, and more – will present, but their insights will serve as a springboard into deeper understanding, not as the final word.
The primary activities will be intensive breakout group sessions where leaders will gather and dialogue with others in their vocational field. Contributions will be synthesized throughout the event, guiding the entire group into deeper reflection for renewed action in God’s work.

There is a gap of understanding and need for the contribution of Majority World (Asia, Africa, Latin America) missional lay leaders to shape the future of Christian witness.
At the recent 2024 Lausanne Congress in Seoul, speakers highlighted that global mission conversations and mobilization efforts typically ignore “99% of the church”: lay people. They have their feet fully in the world, understanding its needs and engaged in its transformation.
