Dr. Joey Mariano D. Chuaunsu
Executive Director of Equipping

As Executive Director of Equipping, Dr. Joey Chuaunsu oversees the Haggai Leader Experience to equip strategically positioned leaders to more effectively demonstrate and present the Gospel and to train others to do the same. He works with leaders from more than 100 countries to fulfill Jesus’ last command of making disciples of all nations. Joey has a valuable and long history with Haggai. He completed his HLE in 2005 at the Mid-Pacific Center in Hawaii. In 2007, he joined Haggai as an international facilitator and began serving in various capacities on the Equipping Team in 2009, including as Director of Training and Director of Leader Relations. Before Haggai, Joey was a practicing pediatrician in the Philippines for 16 years and worked in the corporate sector. Part of his role included managing people, supervising training, and working with systems.
He has been serving the Lord for over 45 years. Aside from preaching and serving in various church leadership roles, Joey was involved as a leader in worship and small group ministry among the youth and couples, as well as in Sunday school and family ministry. Topics close to his heart are marriage, parenting, leadership, and discipleship.
Joey and his wife, Gertrude, have four children — while Marcus is based in Florida, Gianna, Jaci, and Jeune live with them in Atlanta, Georgia
