John Gagliardi, businessman, author and founder of the influential Australian Christian Lobby, is Haggai Australia’s new Director of Development.
John has strong business credentials, having acted as Executive Director for a $100M company in Asia-Pacific, is a Board Director of a major US technology and energy company, while his role in the wider Christian community is well known.
He originally founded the powerful Australian Christian Lobby, was the founding Chairman of Christian Heritage College, is a Fellow of the Australian International of Management and a Fellow of Christian Heritage College. He holds four degrees including a Masters from the University of Queensland.
John started his career as a journalist with the Brisbane Telegraph, rising to hold the positions of Chief of Staff of Channel 9 News in Brisbane, and Editor-in-Chief of the Townsville Bulletin newspaper for Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.
Moving into public relations and lobbying, he was a media advisor to former Prime Minister John Gorton, and was responsible for projects as diverse as Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast and the Burdekin Dam in North Queensland.
John has travelled widely and spoken across the world to business and Christian organizations, and presented addresses in the Russian Parliament, Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the Senior Cadres in Training School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and to the National Prayer Gathering in the Australian Parliament’s Great Hall.
