David began his career as a United Methodist Pastor serving congregations in Decatur and Lawrenceville, Georgia. In 1995, he founded Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church and grew the congregation from inception to 2,700 members and 36 employees. As the founding pastor, he led the congregation through $12 million in capital improvements and received the Harry Denman Award for outstanding evangelism and missional service. Most recently, he has served as the Director of Development for Honduras Outreach International.

David received his BA in Biblical Studies from Houghton Wesleyan College, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Princeton University. While at Princeton, he studied and wrote about leadership development in faith-based contexts. In addition to his formal education, he holds an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from the Lake International on Faith and Giving and is an internationally Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

David is excited to be a part of the Haggai team. “Serving our financial partners and their desire to see hundreds and thousands of people come to Christ and transform their communities is a great honor,” he said.

In his spare time, he an avid oil painter, cyclist, and loves to speak and teach in congregations throughout the southeast. David resides in Suwanee, Georgia and worships at Gwinnett Church.
