Linda Carpenter comes to Haggai International as an experienced organizational development professional, having served previously in learning development and grant writer roles for both the corporate university and talent management functions at Cigna, Inc. At Cigna, she wrote and managed grants for the states of California, Connecticut, South Dakota, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She also managed large TechHire and H-1B Incumbent Worker Technical Skills grants from the U.S. Department of Labor.

She assisted in writing, and managed, a multimillion-dollar public health grant awarded by the National Institutes of Health while serving as the manager of the Clinical Research Center at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She served as the administrator of the Clinical Research Advisory Board for the Meharry Medical College/Vanderbilt University Alliance. Prior to her time at Meharry and Vanderbilt, she also managed grants and education programs through the international relief and development organization, C.A.R.E.

Linda holds a master’s degree in advanced leadership studies from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in adult and continuing education from Michigan State University. She is a member of the National Career Development Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a certified facilitator through Development Dimensions International (DDI).

Linda has one son, Phillip, who is a graduate student at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
