DAVID BRUCE

MANAGER, FOUNDATION GRANTS

David is a dedicated, detail-oriented grant writer who specializes in writing targeted fundraising communications that promote an organization’s mission and vision. Prior to joining Haggai International, he provided grant writing services for various human service nonprofits, including Atlanta Mission and Families First.

Growing up as a military dependent, David lived throughout the United States and abroad in Germany. David attended Alabama A&M University on an ROTC scholarship, where he received a bachelor’s degree in English. After moving to Long Island, New York, David worked as a community liaison for a HUD-subsidized agency and served as a platoon leader for a U.S. Army Reserve unit in Queens, New York.

David has used his strong strategic planning and project management skills extensively in the corporate sector. For six years, he worked as a search engine marketing manager for AT&T and YP.com, collaborating with sales representatives and advertisers to create internet advertisement products like SEM campaigns, online display banners, and websites. He has also worked in service support roles for various companies, including Jani King, Regions Bank, and Southern Linc. Additionally, David has served as a community volunteer for United Way of Greater Atlanta, HOPE Worldwide, Habitat for Humanity, and several ministry initiatives over the last 25 years.

David resides with his wife and two children in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He enjoys playing guitar, swimming, and traveling. In addition, David enjoys writing screenplays and is an avid baker, with a penchant for dessert pies. He and his family worship at North River Church of Christ in Marietta.
